Look What You’ve Done (cover)
Look What You’ve Done. There is something about how the song was written that seems very Beatle-ish.

Modern Love. Really should be Post-Modern Love. Description: Post-modern is easy. We are in the post-modern era. Basically everything has been done and there’s nothing new under the sun so the new way of creating is to take pieces of older stuff (deconstruction) and reassemble it. The variations are endless and so a new era of expression had been born.
Blue Jean. I really had no idea who or what ‘Blue Jean’ is. My first thoughts, knowing that the song came out in the 1980’s, was that Blue Jean is a code name for cocaine. The problem being that if your cocaine is Blue then it is mostly likely cut, and poison. That doesn’t jive. So I have settled that Blue Jean is a beautiful temptress female, which is the common logic. Hope you dig it!
She Belongs to Me. All I can say is… ‘I am a walking antique.’
POLICE TRUCK! (cover of a Jell-O Biafra tune). There is never a ‘correct’ time to do a song by Jell-O’s band. It seems with the overflow of weaponry by the United States Military, that our local Police Force gets the run-off of choice assault vehicles. The lyrics tell the tale of a fun-loving group of cops who get a new Police Truck, and revel by beating up drunks and hurting people, to say the least. So remember, everyone, tonight whilst imbibing, BE […]
Into Your Arms (cover of the LemonHeads) Happy Saint Patrick’s Day Everyone! Or as I like to call it, “Amateur Night.” Folks really need to get more practice at Alcoholism. 🙂
Doom and Gloom. “All I hear is Doom and Gloom” A good suggestion would be not to watch or read the news. I always hated that video game anyway. “Fracking deep for oil, but there’s nothing in the sump, There’s kids all picking at the garbage dump, I’m running out of water, so I better prime the pump, I AM TRYING TO STAY SOBER BUT I END UP DRUNK! We will be eating dirt, living on the side of the road.. and […]
Oh Sweet Nuthin’ (velvet underground cover) Who is laughing at who? Who is pitying who? Cars driving past Hoover-Ville Park. The vagabonds, at least, know their friends are comrades. War Buddies, perhaps. When one has NUTHIN’, One has NUTHIN’ to LOSE! Unlike the perpetual headache of mortgage payments, car insurance, life insurance, ad infinitum. More money, more problems. More cash, more leeches to scrape off your wallet. Poverty can be a blessing. Dwell upon the idea, next time, in rush hour traffic, […]
Let’s Dance! Bizarr-o Ted was doing Algebra for a psychiatrist who was rambling on about delusions of grandeur. Ted turned to David Bowie and asked, “so..what do YOU think?” The Thin White Duke replied, “THAT’S NO WAY to TREAT A LADY!!”
What Goes On? This one is dedicated to my friend Shay Dee who is going through complicated times. ‘One Minute Born, One Minute Doomed, One Minute Up, One Minute Down, What Goes On in Your Mind? I think that I am falling down. Lady be Good, Do what you Should and YOU KNOW It will WORK ALRIGHT! It will BE ALL RIGHT!’
You’ve Got Her in Your Pocket (white stripes cover). To Ask: Where does the Music want to go? How should I direct the Music of humanity? What is it that humans use Music for? Pleasure? Why? Over the centuries, epochs.. did humans derive pleasure from sound? When did it start? Yeah sure, our ancestors did cave paintings at Lascaux of killing animals, hunting, gathering, images of sex and death, 8,000 years ago. But Music? When? Now it is a commodity. People love […]
