Fell in Love With A Girl (cover)

March 12, 2016

Fell in Love With a Girl. I love this Jack White composition. Strangely enough it has always sounded like a really jolted out Kinks tune. A musician friend of mine once commented that he does not use the word ‘girl’ in his music because it sounds strange. ‘Why would grown men sing about girls,’ he asks. I see his point. The song is still cool. Shouts out to PKQueen at the website: https://queentunnel.wordpress.com/ For suggesting that I eliminate reverb and echoe from […]

the Big Take Over! (bad brains cover)

March 10, 2016

the Big Take Over! This was a song that John Frusciante also covered on his solo album. It was written by an old school punk band called Bad Brains. I cannot play that fast, so I did a spin off of Frusciante’s version. (by the way, I am still working on a new drawing that I will get back to right now.) 🙂

Been Insane (john frusciante cover)

March 10, 2016

Been Insane. This was written by the still living guitar player for the Red Hot Chili Peppers. He quit the group for a brief time in the mid 1990’s. During the hiatus, he penned the tune. Also on a brief note, I am changing the way I create. I will (hopefully) lay tracks, take a break and draw images, then after a few hours, mix the recording and post. I have another new image on the way. This seems to work well […]

Welcome to the Occupation (cover)

March 6, 2016

Welcome to the Occupation. “Welcome to the Occupation. Here We Stand and Here We Fight All Your Fallen Heroes Held and Dyed and Skinned Alive Listen to the Congress Fire Offering the Educated Primitive and Loyal Welcome to the Occupation.” (this sums up the behavior of the United States)

Less of Me (cover of an old country standard)

March 5, 2016

Less of Me. “Let Me Be when I am Weary, just a Little bit more Cheery, Let Me Be Serve Little Better Those I am Striving For, Let Me Be a Little Meeker with the Brother who is Weaker, Let Me Think a Little More of Others and a Little Less of Me.”

Society (cover)

March 2, 2016

Society. I changed a few of the lines in the song to personalize it to my experience. Insanity is a sane reaction to a crazy world. I urge all people to not stigmatize a brain illness. Just because mental illnesses are not visible to the naked eye does not mean that it is non-existent. I guess to contrast my point, are people with diabetes marginalized because of weak moral fiber and will-power? I think the original intent of the tune was to […]
