Champagne and Reefer (blues cover)

Champagne and Reefer.

Alright is another attempt, albeit not very thought out,
to get the sound of those old blues dudes who allegedly made those
contractual obligations with the dark side and got put out on old
78 records. Just an aside, I am still stone cold clean and sober, hope
to carry that trend out for the rest of my daze.

    • Grateful and thankful (pats himself on the back). Yeah, this is what I did after you mentioned a few of the blues songs I could do. By accident lead me to this one, so I did it. Do you think it sounds a bit scratchy? I put the guitar amp under the snare drum, and miked it. So the snare would rattle. One mono track, one stereo track.

  1. Cool, glad you did this one. I can hear the rattle, but there is also a buzz/vibration/hum being picked up intermittently with the vocals, also at the very beginning. It’s not constant, almost like the slightest bit of feedback. But hey, that’s just me. I do like the retro feel though. It’s such a great song. 🙂
