Hypocritical Kiss.
(lyrics)
My temper got the best of me
And when I said that I mean
I know every single thing
That I said was true
And I know that you’re mad at me
But if you’re thinking like that
I think you’ll see that you’re
Mad at you too
And I know the feeling’s strong
Strong enough to forget about
All that I’ve been through
And it sounds obscene but
Loud words never bothered
Me like they do to you
You’re the boy
That talks but says nothing
A big game to the ones
That you think will believe you
But you don’t know how to read
The look on my face when it says
“Yeah, I’ve read that book too”
And who the hell’s impressed by you?
I want names of the people
That we know that are falling for this
You would sell your own mother out
And then betray your dead brother with another
Hypocritical kiss

Still forbidden message. Love that Jack White song, though. I will hum it in my head the way I think you’d interpret it! 😊

Cool! Kinda confused, which song? I most definitely will given it an interpretation if I can. I did a search and it lead me to a monster of a song by the Dead Weather called ‘Be Still’ which blew my mind.

Oh, isn’t Hypocritical kiss a Jack White song? I’m confused. 😳

Yes it is.. I think we are rather perplexed. I might try doing Missing Pieces from Blunderbus.

Brilliant! It is an incredible album. Most of my contemporaries are into Michael Bublé. The Boob, I call him. They just don’t get my love of the White Stripes, Jack’s solo work and most of the other musicians I listen to. They stopped being fun and became duller than dull grownups in the 1980s. Still love em. Well, some of them anyway! 😝😊

Drop me some names of other musicians that you enjoy. Bubbly fellow I have never heard about it, and I assume that is a positive occurrence 🙂

Yes. Totally. He is Canadian, I think, and very famous here in Oz. he is a more modern version of Sinatra.

Oh. Maybe I sent you the wrong track with the”still forbidden message” bit. I meant that I am still unable to hear your songs through the links. It tells me I am “forbidden” from listening to your music!

Argh! I am calling Apple’s CEO, gonna tell them to let you listen on the Ipad!! Well, I suppose your imagination will make the music sound far better than it is reality.. 🙂

I also love, musically, Foo Fighters, Gossip (Beth Ditto), Amy Winehouse, The Cat Empire, The Kills, Nick Cave, Ben Folds, Björk, Radiohead, Nirvana, Elliott Smith, Kimbra, Talking Heads, and lots of other stuff I can’t think of! Also listen to Latin American music, traditional Jewish, Arabian and Gypsy music, classical, opera, some contemporary French popular music. I could definitely go on!

I have done Foo Fighters, the Kills, Radiohead, Nirvana, Elliot Smith. I was thinking of doing Heaven by Talking Heads. Love Amy Winehouse but her singing and music are beyond my capabilities. I have been compared to Nick Cave, tho I do not hear it. And I have not found songs if his that click in my ears, making me want to cover him. I try to like him, just does not happen. Gotta check out Cat Empire , and Gossip. Hey, I gave thought to this. Is it possible that you cannot listen to songs because of content. Could your country block on the basis of Copyright? If so, then it should be possible for you to listen to MY stuff, just not any covers. Or is it just the Ipad thingy. Such a shame that you stop by the site all the time, and can’t listen.

We seem to have quite a bit of musical likes in common, Ted. It is an iPad thing, for sure. Or a reader thing. I can get to your songs through Safari on the iPad but it takes a lot more thinking for me to get that far, so it doesn’t happen all that often.

Glad to know what the problem consisted of…Yes we have musical tastes in common. I need to follow up on the group that I was not aware of…Ending my sentences in prepositions..
