This is awesome, Ted. It reminds me of an artist that I just can’t put my finger on at this moment while I am still under the duvet.

Reminds me of Egon Schiele’s work. Is that who you were thinking of?

Yes yes, that’s it…thank you.

Egon Schiele was not the basis of the work style wise. I have never outright tried to copy, cop, or even study his master works. I knew a lot of artist’s who matched him line for line. He was a hero of mine from the time I first saw his pieces. I saw his drawings in person. He could make one quick line that was vary in thickness, and value, skip of the page, then hit it again… So I wasn’t thinking of him, but I like that you should think of him when seeing my stuff. 🙂

Influence is so much subtler than copying. You have a great individual style. It also puts me in mind of Gustave Klimpt’s sketches. Have you seen any? I am envious of you having seen Schiele’s work in the flesh.

I have never seen Gustave’s sketches. It seems like I should take a note to do that… Oh yeah, by the way, loved the Pinocchio and young man image. I couldn’t figure out what was said on the back either. Yeah I am a fan of warner brothers. Bugs Bunny riding bomb’s and stuff in the old WW2 cartoons.

Now there is something I need to look up! Bugs on a bomb; I don’t remember that.
I think the writing on that photo will defeat us all. Thanks for trying!

I love the expression on her face Ted. Is she holding something in her left hand?

I did not intend to have her hold something, yet I see it there now.

Thank you Ted. I used to do three pieces a week, but with my husband retired, well it’s not possible – still try though to stick to some workable schedule. Much appreciate your compliment.

You are doing well. I look at the drawings and think about all your mark making, that the digital image of a piece, cannot even begin to describe what the work looks like in person. Dreamy landscapes!

Thank you Ted, that’s really very kind of you. I fully enjoy drawing, learn something new with each scene.

I like the way you block out your form while still arriving at so much movement and expression, Ted. Really f
fine drawing!
