in the 1950’s because it only insinuated that the characters in the song
missed curfew as a result of falling asleep at a drive-in movie.
Their parents and friends believed that they had gotten
‘horizontal’ ( had sex) in the car.
Silliness, huh?
Anyway, here is a bastardization of a classic song.
