I have no idea why this rang a bell.. In the states in the early 80’s , they did not get airplay on college radio. I am familiar with his acting more than anything else. He rubbed elbows with a lot of bigger acts. I like the music, tho I can’t play part of his influence in reggae.. I just never could feel reggae right. I told this to a friend who says he is gonna take me to a Wailers show, so I can “get it”. All the other influences with Dury, I understand.. There was this one song, something about kickin someone in the gonads boogie woogie which was a hoot!
