Thank! I am having so much fun getting to play my new drum set.
John Lennon used to say, “just give me a backbeat!”
Having the rhythm makes it easier to write, get the groove, play the negative space.
As an aside, a friend of my made it clear to me that the universe has a resonance, sound
is just a frequency.. AND that this sound, this spirit, is always waiting for a conduit,
be it an instrument or human being to play through, and that is why some of my musician friends
who have passed are still there, still here, waiting to be heard. That is Happy!

Resonance…yes… absolutely….I think everything that exists experiences resonance (in their own way). I like the way your friend describes it, Ted. The spaces in between are alive with it….We’re just the book ends! With my work I try to find that happy or sad or whatever space, connect and dive in listening to the beat that’s moving us. Thanks Ted…good thoughts. Good music!
