Let It Bleed.
So today, I was looking for a song to do.
I came upon a list of songs that had been banned at one time or another in the United States.
I was surprised to find that the Everly Brothers song entitled,”Wake Up Lil Susie”, was stricken from
the airwaves in 1957. Other songs were not. This is my version of a song that perhaps could have
made the list. Mick Jagger had a knack for using lyrics that could be deemed offensive
to sell records. Quite the businessman.

Love it! I love the trivia/history also. My father doesn’t believe me about “Wake up Lil Susie” but he was never a music person my mom was. You’re right about Mick Jagger I never really noticed the lyrics until recently. Thank you for the song.

Hey, thank you very much for taking the time to listen!
Yeah, the trivia about the Everly Brothers song was not believed by sister.
It was the McCarthy era, so it makes sense to me. 🙂
