Suicide is Painless.
I spent a good chunk of my childhood eating saltines and watching the television show
called M*A*S*H on one of the 4 T.V channels we had back in the 1970’s. The show was
based on a movie about the Korean War. The lyrics of the song were replaced by a flute
melody which inspired me to pick up my first instrument which was a flute. Not until
several decades later did I hear the actual lyrics to the tune, which in the feature film
were entitled, ‘Suicide is Painless.’
I dedicate this number to all the Artificial Intelligence Robots that have blended in
with regular humanity. Watch OUT!! (they are amongst us and do not have to eat.)

disclaimer:(This is all meant in jest. I never thought it was so cool when some my friends past away
by their own hands. Watch MASH instead, and have a giggle.)

See, this freaked me out because I was singing this song to myself in the shower this morning. M*A*S*H was ever so slightly before my time but I know the song fairly well. Thanks for sharing and making me feel rather weird!!

Too bad Jung didn’t just say outright to Freud, “Hey man, you are a cocaine addled sex freak! You should hang out with Sherlock Holmes and find your own personality!”

It would have saved us all a lot of time, that’s for sure. Freud should maybe have just had a joint instead and got over his sex hang-ups. But then what do I know.

Yeah also, with Freud out of the way, the Abstract Expressionists would not have had an excuse for some of the garbage they created. “OH well it is my subconscious I am painting.” Then Warhol wouldn’t have made his Soup Cans. Also, bunches of Therapists would never had the excuse to make a dime… Ah well, (sighes) to bad Freud wasn’t a stoner. 🙂

Hi tedgiffin,
I really wanted to thank you for the beautiful comment, likes, visits and follow. You may have no idea how much they inspire me!
I visited you earlier as well, this time also I came to thank you and lost my way wandering and forgot what I came for.
Your blog makes me feel like wandering into a stranger’s mansion- one like a gallery with big windows, records playing in some rooms, some rooms have framed sketches, art, photography
Some on tables, no frames
It’s silent and beautiful
No one is here right now
I keep walking
And forget for what I came in
Yes maybe it’s because I am a cat and I’m born curious
Thank you tedgiffin. You inspire me.
