The next several posts concern several events transpiring during
a festival that happens in this town once a year. The festival is called
the “Lotus” festival. City streets are closed down and musicians from
all over the globe descend upon the townies.
I started the adventure really late. I happened upon a bar called,
“the Bishop”. The act for tonight was Dianne Coffee, who is a wonderful
human being. You can find his video here
Take notice of one of the actors in the video is none other than
Jesse Slokum. He plays the old man who works at the bowling alley.

Man…I had no idea about the Lotus festival. I wouldn’t so been there! I come to Bloomington about 4 times per year, to see my daughter, Heidi. She’s a fantastic singer- she’s really unbelievable. (You may have even seen her here or there in the past.) Glad to see you out and about doing your thing! š

Great! What I love about Lotus is that it happens every year the same week of my birthday
in late September..Always fun. Take care.

Mine is Sept 23rd. Mom’s was Sept 17th. Grandma’s was Sept 22nd,
and my cousin on Sept 24th..
Also Mom and Dad got married on Sept 17th 1960..
