I love this song 🙂 I heard it first during an illusionisst show, they played it while the illusionist was “cutting” his assistant in two, you know those tricks lol 🙂 I kinda related at that moment lol…

Yes, I really believe that Gotye nailed the whole experience in the song.
It’s sad, but a cathartic song that fulfills a necessity to help one heal.
