a letter, a set of notes.
Very weary,
very tired.
Lost the smile that some admired.
Just a letter,
A set of notes.
To me and from me.
About getting old
Before beauty was bought and sold.
No boy losing girl
Losing boy
His losing girl losing boy.
Some in riches.
Others cash without…
a shred of dignity
a front they tout.
Very tired,
Feel so very cold.
I’m a liar if the truth were told.
Mom put me to bed.
I went to sleep.
She tucked me in with the last kiss on the cheek.
Very tired.
Very cold.
Very old.

I’m continuing here what we talked about smiles under that other post with your photo 🙂 I think the smile never changes with age … it’s just we forget to put it on more often 🙂 a smile even becomes more beautiful, I love when I see smile wrinkles in the corner of the eyes of some people, this means they smile often, despite age 🙂

Great!! You noticed the reference in the song based on our dialogue.
Reminds me of my grandma. She had the happiest, sweetest smile ever.
She was a joyous person, so cute. I will make a note to self,
smile more often 🙂 !
