Cats freak me out. It is as if I pissed off the Queen Goddess of Cats and became allergic.
I used to love the distracted nature of them. Until one day, I was eating a huge bowl of spaghetti
with sauce, and I swear to God almighty out of nowhere AT ALL, a kitten landed in the bowl,
splattering stuff everywhere. I think that is where my post-traumatic stress started ( 🙂 ).

Wow! That is quite the tale. Normally, I would be delighted at kittens appearing randomly but certainly not in my food. Food is far too important to be disturbed by anything at all, not even a kitten. You have my sympathy, my friend.

I have had a friend say the following to my animals.
“Look if you eat MY food, THEN I will eat YOURS!”
Seems to keep them in line.
