I actually learned the chord. Parts of this is c7 to c, with a Fmaj on the 2nd gtr.
The rest is just A major, with an a7 running underneath on the 2nd gtr.
Bass I am playing in the middle, usually an A, C, or G.

I certainly hope your machine is okay. It is a bummer because I listened to your take on the song, and was floored. Tho, it may not be at all necessary, if you want any of the files, tracks, I can send them to you. I encourage you to experiment with this, because I can put the piano part in, and reconstruct it. Also, as an aside, I realize that jazz is predominantly about where the off beat is, so I could study chord structure forever, if I do not get the swing, the ta tap tap, then it matters not about melodies or harmonies. Looking forward to more correspondence.

Yes, there’s lots of syncopation in jazz. Harmonically it’s all about extending the harmony past the 7th. Your C7 chord is probably something like C E G Bb. Jazz starts on the 7th–so you get Bb D F A as your chord (that is the 7th, the 9th, the 11th, and the 13th). If you go up another third, you end up at the root, so it’s as far out as you can get. Jazz!

in effect starting on the turn-around. I like the thoughts of these.
If you are so inclined, and the computer can stand it. Give me 3 minutes
of you doing this on the piano. I can put it into a track and work from there.
Choose, of course, your own syncopation and tempo. I can work on it from there.
Then send it back to you. A collaboration. Also, keep in mind, it would be lovely
if we could find someone to do lyrics, work from the melody I was humming.
Lyrics are my shortfall. I so very badly want to put prose to music, using
the notes sung as repetition, instead of rhymes.
Yes, I wrote, played, and recorded all the tracks all by me lil’ self.
I programmed the drum track, because playing an actual set where I live
would most definitely freak out my neighbors.
The problem with putting something down for 3 minutes is that it won’t match the irregular bar length of your sections, as well as the time signature (Mine is irregular too, but it’s a solo and nobody has to follow along).

A turnaround in jazz is a harmonic thing. For instance a iii-vi-ii-V progression taking you into the next section.
