Sergeant Major (cover)
Sergeant Major. I think song is about the music industry. Or an idiotic manager.

True. ‘and if I had a choice, I’d take the voice I got because it was hard to find,’ ‘you know I’ve come too far to end up right back where I started.’
Ballad of Love and Hate (avett brothers cover) Live Here is another song request from my friend Kenn, who used to song-write and sing with me. He knows the types of tunes that I can easily accomplish. So if you were going to be a character in the song, which one would you be?
No New Tale to Tell (cover). I asked some of my friends for song request ideas. Paula initially asked for the song called ‘So Alive’ by Love and Rockets. I decided to do a different tune from their catalog. I have been goofing around with the song since around 1987, so I know it inside-out. A few folks may groan,”Oh God! Not THAT ONE AGAIN!” I hope you dig this Mrs. Lane.
B-Day Bash Blues? ‘this only goes to show that you don’t joke on the blues idiom.”
Ballad of a Thin Man. A few days ago, I did a song by the Counting Crows called, Mr Jones and Me. Well, Mr. Jones who is referenced here was Bob Dylan’s tyrannical manager in the early to mid-sixties. I believe his name was Albert Grossman. Dylan wrote a song about him, that is now infamous, entitled Ballad of a Thin Man. So.. uh.. that’s that.
Johnny Don’t March! (lyrics) Johnny Grab Your Gun! Sign Yourself Up! You can fight overseas or March on Washington. Think of your Mom! You’re her only Son. If You Grab that Gun, or March for Anyone. It’s not worth your life. Those Boots for Battle. The Drum Beats to Bloodshed. We’re not Old Enough to Know the Voices Silenced, Shot Down decades ago. Wish it were more than a dream, but this War on War is the Evil Scheme. Think of Your […]
Mr Jonze and Me. ‘I wish I was Beautiful.’
Criminal. So William Burroughs, the beat poet, was getting heavily intoxicated with his girlfriend. She blurted, “Hey! If you such a damn good shot. Take your pistol and blow this apple of my head!” He missed. So in response, I did a cover version of Fiona Apple’s hit song from the 1990’s in a true garage rock fashion.
Psychotherapy! Here is another old school punk tune from way back in the bad old daze. I must chill out. I believe that I have pissed off the neighbors again. They are banging on the walls. oops….
Hang Me, Oh Hang Me. David van Ronk wrote this tune. I changed a few lines to fit my experience. Once again, Live to 2-track.
Let Me Follow You Down. This is a cover, live to 2-track.
