Finally I am in the groove! What a strange mess for me to be both of them. Degas, awesome comparison. He was part of the leaping off point, jumping off point into Modernity.
I definitely see it. Of course, I have always been aware of Degas. It was not until recently, that upon someone else making that comparison, did I dive in to find out his history and see his work. The main parallel, is that he abandoned, paint, not the use of color. We both use oil crayons. I use anything I can get my hands on..Thank you, that is a high compliment!
ted, I’ve used your Paris, 1928 image as the illustration of a story I’ve reposted from the Paris Review about Albert Camus’s notebooks. There is a suitable credit, so I hope you don’t mind. If you do I can take it down.
You’re on a roll, Ted. These fall somewhere between Degas and Toulouse-Lautrec

Hats make the man. I don’t necessarily agree with it but I can relate to and understand it

Hats provide cover for my perpetual bad hair days.
