There is so much character and liveliness in these drawings. I might even go as far as calling it sass. If the goal was to make people wish they met these women, then you’ve done an outstanding job.

Thank you for your interpretation! I suppose I have what might be called a Modernist view of
of art, that the goal of a piece is determined by the viewer, subjectively. A lot of what
I do is a matter of improving my skill at depicting a person. I try to wrap my mind around
that women are objectified in media, and I have been guilty of that at times. People have
drawn women since the cave paintings , so I suppose there is something instinctual about it.

What you have done that the media constantly fails to do, is acknowledge the humanity of women. They are interesting and multidimensional as you have presented them. At least for me, you have generated interest in their potential for individuality instead of aesthetic appeal. Thank you for that.
